First up, I've been working on this quilt top for a while.
A little bit here, a little bit there. It all adds up and sooner or later it'll come together. More "later" than "sooner" in this case. Confession: I've had those blocks made for months now! Yikes. I made them and then they got pushed aside for other projects, as it happens. You all know what I'm talking about. But I did manage to get all these blocks sewn into rows.
From here it's just a few quick seams to finish the top. But... I've been distracted...
By this!
This is a gorgeous bundle of Luna Sol fabric by Felice Regina from Sew Scatterbrained. I actually won this bundle in a giveaway hosted by Heidi from Fabric Mutt and sponsored by Windham Fabrics. So a huge thank you to all involved! I actually received the bundle a while back but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. Obviously a quilt will somehow emerge from these fabrics but at the time I didn't have a pattern in mind. But I've finally come up with a plan. I finalized all the quilt math last week and made a test block earlier this week, so I'm good to go! Funnily enough, I think it was the day after I finished the math that Felice announced she was holding a contest for projects made with this fabric line. The timing is perfect!
Speaking of contests and giveaways, I just won two gorgeous patterns from Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts. The patterns are Little Blooms and Stepping Stones. Thank you, Lorna!!! If you aren't familiar with Lorna and her work you should go check her out!
All that should keep me busy for a while. :)

I just had to jump over from Let's Bee Social because I looove grey. A grey plus quilt is on my current project list. Sending you some motivation to finish it. You sound so short of the finish line for the top. And I totally know what you mean, have been switching projects a lot lately :)
ReplyDeleteLove the design and fabrics in your quilt! And I can see how you got distracted with that pretty pile you won - congrats! Thanks for sharing on Midweek Makers
ReplyDeleteOh, congratulations on the winnings and having a design come together just in time for a challenge is lovely timing. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are cute cute cute blocks and I love the simple color scheme! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the shades of gray. I know it can be distracting to see color after working on neutrals but really it is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAre those greys and whites garlic knots? They look spectacular. Isn't fun to win fabric -- especially when it shows up in the mailbox? Have fun being creative with your new fabs.
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt and all those grays! I've love to see a finish but I understand the distraction...
ReplyDeleteThanks for postinng this
