For those of you who may be new, Color Play Friday (CPF) is a fun, weekly challenge hosted by Lorinda from Laurel, Poppy and Pine. Each week she provides a photograph as inspiration and then the CPF participants create a color palette and a fabric bundle based on the photo. It's a lot of fun and a great way to exercise your color skills. Everyone is welcome to join in. You can find more info on how to play along by clicking the CPF button on my sidebar.
This week's photo is actually one I took several years ago.
This photo has such a riot of color! And yeah, those are bagpipes. And yeah, they were LOUD!
Here is what I came up with this week.
There was so much color in this photo that I actually came up with four different palettes! In the end though, I thought this one was truest to the overall content of the photo. I went with some basics this week because, really, who doesn't love basics?! I had thought to do a whole plaid themed bundle but that was just a hot mess! Fun fact: I love plaid and I try to include it in everything.
