Mr. 123Quilt Says...

========

Me --- Thanks for putting away that bucket of cleaning supplies while I finish up this binding.
Mr. 123Quilt --- No problem. It was on my "bucket" list.

========

[looking at patterns]
Me --- Do you like this hourglass pattern?
Mr. 123Quilt --- No.
Me --- How about this one?
Mr. 123Quilt --- No. I think I don't like the hourglass block in general. [points to a different pattern] I like this one. What's this pattern?
Me --- That's a disappearing hourglass.
Mr. 123Quilt --- Ha! That must be why I like it, because the hourglass disappears!
Me --- [shakes head]

========

Mr. 123Quilt --- I don't like those triangles; they're sideways.
Me --- So you prefer them flat-bottomed?
Mr. 123Quilt --- I like them apple-bottom triangles...

========

Me --- Do you like this collection from Tula Pink?
Mr. 123Quilt --- What's a tula?
Me --- It's the designer's name.
Mr. 123Quilt --- What? Like too legit to quit?
Me --- ...

========

Shop Assistant --- Would you like me to wrap your fabric back on the bolt?
Mr. 123Quilt --- You bought enough that it needs to be on a bolt?
Me --- Yep.
Mr. 123Quilt --- Cool! It's our first bolt!
Me --- No it's not.
Mr. 123Quilt --- Wait, what?

========

Mr. 123Quilt --- What do you want for lunch?
Me --- Do you want to go to that sandwich shop you like?
Mr. 123Quilt --- You just want to go there because it's next to the fabric store. You're trying to trick me.
Me --- Did it work?

========

Me --- I'm thinking about getting this new fabric collection.
Mr. 123Quilt --- Ew. There's too much orange.
Me --- You are really against orange, aren't you?
Mr. 123Quilt --- Orange is NOT the new black.

========

Me --- What's wrong?
Mr. 123Quilt --- I need to make a sling but I don't think we have a big enough piece of fabric.
Me [laughing] --- I guarantee we have enough fabric for that.

========

Me --- I didn't order any fabric today.
Mr. 123Quilt --- Thank God!

  1. Hahahaha I was literally laughing! My husband is so clueless about Quilting and he must be tired of me asking him about certain fabrics and colors. One day he actually said Babe Quilting is your thing sorry I can't help you, I truly know nothing about it.

  5. These are great! I especially like the whole bolt one. My son (the quilter) was amused by that, too.
